Auction rules
Version 2026-10-19-v1
This is an implementation draft. Before launching sales, the operator must provide its own terms, company details and settlement rules. These are not the terms of auta.ch.
- An account may be created by an individual. Placing a bid requires an active signed-in account with complete contact details.
- Auctions take place locally on this service and use sealed bidding. Participants can only see their own amounts. Administrators can see bids in order to operate the auction.
- Bids are placed in PLN. The amount covers the car only. It does not include transport, commission, taxes or other additional fees. The estimated market value of a car is neither its purchase price nor a participant's bid.
- Before submitting, the user confirms the amount and accepts these rules. An accepted bid cannot be lowered or withdrawn in the account panel. It may be increased before the auction ends by confirming the new amount again.
- The auction ends at the stated time and is not extended. The time at which the server accepts the bid is decisive, not the time the button is clicked.
- The highest accepted bid wins. If amounts are equal, the amount accepted earlier takes priority; if the timestamps are identical, the order in which records were saved decides.
- Winning the local auction does not yet mean that the vehicle purchase is confirmed. The administrator has 30 calendar days after the auction ends to confirm or reject fulfilment.
- If fulfilment is not confirmed in time, the case is closed as “Not confirmed in time”. Notifications and the case history are available in the account.
- After fulfilment is confirmed, the customer provides purchaser details for an individual or a company. Support will provide further settlement instructions.
- Each bid retains the accepted version of the rules and the definition of what its amount covers. Later changes do not alter previously submitted bids.
The operator must define detailed fees, payment methods and fulfilment conditions before real auctions are launched.
